Free Rides to Health Care Appointments
If you need help getting to your Health First Colorado (Medicaid) appointments, you may qualify for free transportation. This service is called Non-Emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT) and is available for covered, non-emergency healthcare visits.

Statewide Broker Transition Timeline
Phase 1: Nine-County Denver Metro Area
Effective July 1, 2026
- The statewide broker model will begin in the nine-county Denver metro area: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, Larimer, and Weld Counties.
- Members in this region will start using MediDrive for NEMT services.
Phase 2: Statewide Implementation
Effective Fall 2026
- The statewide broker model will expand to all remaining counties.
- NEMT services across Colorado will be managed by MediDrive.
