Free Rides to Health Care Appointments

If you need help getting to your Health First Colorado (Medicaid) appointments, you may qualify for free transportation. This service is called Non-Emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT) and is available for covered, non-emergency healthcare visits.

How to Schedule a Ride

Book your ride at least 2 business days before your appointment. Have the following ready when you call:

  • Your name and Health First Colorado ID number
  • Date of birth
  • Appointment date and time
  • Pick-up address
  • Provider’s name, address, and phone number

You can bring a family member or caregiver—just let the scheduler know.

Feeling sick or have COVID-19 symptoms? Call your provider first to see if an in-person visit is needed.
