NHP and RMHP’s Partnership

Northeast Health Partners (NHP) and Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP) maintain a strategic partnership under Colorado’s Accountable Care Collaborative (ACC) Phase III.

In this partnership, NHP serves as the Regional Accountable Entity (RAE) for Region 2, and RMHP operates as a subcontracted Administrative Services Organization (ASO). RMHP supports NHP in delivering key behavioral health functions including network development, contracting, and credentialing, in alignment with the scope outlined in NHP’s ACC 3.0 proposal.

This collaboration ensures consistency in member experience, reduces administrative burden for providers, and leverages RMHP’s statewide infrastructure while preserving NHP’s regional leadership, local provider relationships, and community-based approach. Together, NHP and RMHP are focused on advancing integrated, value-based care and ensuring Medicaid members across Region 2 receive equitable access to physical and behavioral health services.

Partnering to Strengthen Behavioral Health Services

NHP is proud to announce our partnership with RMHP to enhance the delivery of Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) services across RAEs 1 and 2.

This collaboration brings RMHP’s administrative expertise to the forefront—helping to reduce provider burden and ensure our members receive quality, coordinated care.

RMHP Administrative Services on Behalf of NHP

As part of this partnership, RMHP will now manage key administrative functions for behavioral health and SUD services, including:

  • Provider contracting
  • Provider credentialing
  • Call center and customer support
  • Provider relations
  • Prior authorizations
  • Claims processing
  • Utilization management

This model streamlines processes, so you can focus more on delivering care and less on paperwork.

Provider Portal Access

All behavioral health providers in the RMHP network will have access to a secure Provider Portal, offering tools to:

  • Check member eligibility and benefits
  • Submit and track claims
  • Access forms, guidelines, and other resources

This partnership supports NHP’s mission to strengthen services for Region 2 members.
