Dr. Mark Wallace: Dr. Mark Wallace is a licensed Family Medicine physician and public health practitioner with over 30 years of experience providing clinical leadership across Colorado. He earned his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California and a Master’s degree in public health from the Fielding School of Public Health at the University of California Los Angeles. Dr. Wallace’s experience includes serving as the Executive Director and Chief Health Officer of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment for 26 years. He has also led multiple boards as President, including the North Colorado Medical Society, Weld County Medical Society, and Sunrise Community Health. Since 2018, he has actively served as NHP’s Chief Clinical Officer. As CCO, Dr. Wallace supports NHP, the Board, and regional providers through clinical, quality, data, practice, and process improvement initiatives and guidance. Dr. Wallace is an expert in addressing health-related social needs (HRSN), establishing coverage policies based on evidence-based practices, and
has extensive knowledge and experience within the healthcare delivery system. As the CCO, Dr. Wallace will define the overall clinical vision for NHP and provide clinical direction to network management, quality improvement, utilization management, and credentialing divisions. He will also provide medical oversight to promote the delivery of coordinated, cost-effective services and support for members. Further, he will participate in strategy development to design and implement innovative clinical programs and interventions within the Health Neighborhood.
